Barber-Colman/Schneider Electric Light Duty "Beercan" Electric Actuators
NECC offers Barber-Colman's complete line of compact, light duty round actuators. Those who rely on them regularly have nicknamed them “Beercan” actuators, due to their extraordinary shape. Selection depends upon the necessary control signal, torque and options to suit your application. All have spring return and are available with or without auxiliary switches and positive positioners. These valve actuators fit on Barber-Colman valves only.
Use the AM-601 damper linkage and the Order # in column 2.
For high temperature applications (steam or very hot water), use the AV-601 valve linkage extension.
Barber-Colman Schneider Electric Round "Beercan" Actuator Accessories
When applying one of the "beercan" electric actuators above as a damper actuator, they must be ordered with the damper linkage if it’s for something other then direct replacement. For high temperature applications (steam or very hot water), use the AV-601 Valve Linkage Extension.
Schneider Electric DuraDrive™ Electric Actuators
Barber-Colman DuraDrive™ electric actuators are built for the long haul! Designed to mount directly to damper shafts, they can also be mounted to valves utilizing the appropriate linkages.

Schneider Electric DuraDrive™ Proportional Spring/Non-Spring Ret
TAC DuraDrive™ overshaft electric actuators are designed to provide an economical and reliable solution for many overshaft damper and ball valve requirements. All products accommodate shaft sizes up to 1/2" in diameter.

Barber Colman/Schneider Electric Floating or Proportional Electric Actuators
For floating or proportional control of dampers, valves and program switches in heating, ventilating and similar applications.
Barber Colman/Schneider Electric High Torque Electric Actuators (800 to 1600 in-lbs)
For control of heavy dampers, large valves, inlet valves, vortex dampers and other high torque applications in heating, ventilating, air conditioning and similar applications where return to a normal position is not required.

Schneider Electric Electronic Non-Spring Return Valve Actuators
The VF and VS Series Valve and Modulating Actuator Assemblies consist of a non-spring return actuator mounted on a 1/2'' to 1.25'' two-way or three-way body. They accept floating or proportional control, respectively, from a DDC system or modulating thermostat for control of hot water, chilled water and steam coils.
Typical applications include reheat on VAV boxes, fan coil units, unit ventilators, and hot and chilled water coils in air handling units.

- 0–10Vdc/2-10Vdc (field selectable) or 2-position/tri-state inputs
- For hot water chilled water or steam systems
- Integral linkage for all standard 1/2'' to 1.25'' 2-way and 3-way Barber-Colman valve bodies
- Manual override with automatic release
