VAV Electric Duct Sensors
Electronic VAV Controller Universal Replacement Kit
The VAV-4995 Series VAV Controllers are electronic combination controller/actuators used to operate VAV terminal units. They use SSE series duct sensors for sensing airflow (see below). The internal electronic board calculates the need for temperature/flow and repositions the unit linearly to reset.
NECC has arranged to have the manufacturer build a special universal replacement kit to replace most of the models already out in the field. Since most repairs involve replacing the actuator only, the VAV-4995 is supplied without the SSE sensor, saving you the cost of an unnecessary part
You can configure this kit to operate CW or CCW to close, and adjust the rotation (100° standard) to match the replaced device. You can directly read the live velocity (1–5Vdc) from terminal #7.

This model can replace any CEP/CSP/4000 series controller/ actuator, provided the existing VAV box has actual “stops” in the closed position (most do).
Note: When replacing the CSP model, you must replace the pilot tube with one of the electronic sensors listed below under
Replacement Motors for CEP/CSP VAV Actuators
KMC Duct Sensors for VAV Systems
These sensors are designed for use with VAV terminal units in HVAC systems. They are used in conjunction with the CEP series of controller/ actuators to maintain the desired airflow to an occupied space.
Two lengths are available for accommodating various box inlet sizes. Sensors are inserted into the inlet collar of the box. The foam backing on the sensor head protects against conditioned air leakage.
