Actuators, Fire & Smoke

fire and smoke actuators

Fire and smoke actuators are designed to pass UL-555 and UL-555S 350ºF requirements.

UL-555 and UL-555S requires that all new construction fire and smoke damper jobs have the actuator assembled and tested at the damper manufacturer. A like for like retrofit replacement or technically equal UL-555 and UL-555S approved device is recommended.

Smoke and fire Actuators are UL873 or UL60730 listed.

Actuators are UL2043 Listed for low smoke generation in environmental air spaces and air moving plenums as required by NFPA 70, 300.22 (C) and the International Mechanical Code Section 602.2.1.4.

These fast-acting fire and smoke actuators close dampers in 15-20 seconds, and the integral spring return ensures the consistent, proper level of torque.

NOTE: You don’t have to replace the exact same brand you are removing. National Energy Control Corp has substitutes that might improve on the delivery OR price you are used to.

Honeywell, Johnson Controls and Belimo Fire and Smoke Damper Actuators meet all applicable U/L and NFP codes and are quickly available from stock as a direct replacement for expensive OEM.
