All stainless Thermodisc steam traps are designed for applications having light to moderate condensate loads. Thermodisc traps are excellent for high pressure drip and steam tracing applications.
Pipeline “Y” Strainers
The two biggest causes of failure of steam traps are oversizing and dirt. Be sure to inspect, blow-down and repair your strainers regularly. Install strainers in front of all your traps and control valves, especially temperature regulating and/or pressure reducing valves and steam traps to protect their moving parts. Protect working parts from damage caused by dirt, scale, and impurities. “Y” strainers are designed for steam, oil or water lines.
